One of our government partners is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Canberra. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting strategic initiatives, focusing on the Enterprise Digital Capabilities and Integration Platform projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the scoping, planning, implementation, and reporting of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to agreed standards and tolerances.
- Effectively manage project resources, coordinating with business SMEs, solution architects, testers, and developers to deliver project outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive project management documentation, including business cases, project plans, reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Proactively manage project risks, escalate and resolve issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support project procurement activities, including RFQs/Tenders and evaluation reports.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Facilitate project-related change management, ensuring clear and consistent communication with active engagement.
- Government experience essential
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in large-scale IT projects or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Solid experience in managing project procurement activities and vendor relationships.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Relevant qualifications in project management or a related field (e.g., PMP certification) would be advantageous.
